Hand rolled unglazed stoneware knot. Each knot, especially the Marshmallow colorway, will have varying degrees of toasted "hot spots" from the firing process which is not considered a defect. These knots made from are individually handrolled coils, rather than coils extruded mechanically through a die. Each knot is then tied, cleaned, and stamped, and allowed to dry slowly over several days for bisque firing. After the first firing, they are sanded and cleaned again, and fired a second time.
