An art object designed to add aesthetic and utilitarian pleasure to your daily life. Edward Wohl's bird's-eye maple cutting boards are unlike any you've seen. Each board is crafted by joining sections from a single piece of specially selected, figured bird's-eye maple. Every board is precision-shaped, individually hand-sanded, and finished to a silky smooth shine.

Hard Maple, found mostly in the northern US and southern Canada is prized for its beauty and durability. No one knows what causes 1 in about 500 trees to yield wood that exhibits the distinctive bird’s-eye pattern. Since bird’s-eye maple varies tremendously in color and grain pattern, each cutting board is crafted using carefully selected sections from a single piece of wood. This custom matching gives each board its distinctive appearance.

Hand wash with mild soap and warm water.
Towel dry immediately and allow both sides to dry evenly.
Apply conditioning oil as needed.
