Quipu Necklace | Gold Filled | 18”
The Quipu necklace features a twisted, braided effect inspired by ancient weaving techniques. Quipu are recording devices fashioned from strings historically used by several cultures in the region of Andean South America. Although the Quipus that remain are not fully understood, we do understand that many of the knots represent numerical data, perhaps for astronomy or agricultural purposes.
